Business owners and community members attended a presentation about how businesses can prepare for the large numbers of people participating and taking in the National Championship Air Races and Air Show (NCAR), which has moved this year to Roswell Air Center from its long-time venue at the Reno-Stead Airport in northern Nevada.
There will be an event in May for racing participants, who must earn certifications to fly the new course. These pilots will likely be accompanied by their crew members and, perhaps, family or friends when they visit Roswell.
Training and certification flights won’t be open to spectators, but aircraft will likely be visible to people near the air center, especially those on the southeast side of the air center where the race course and other activities will occur.
