Roswell & Chaves County Offers Higher Education Opportunities Close to Home
Upon graduating from high school, local students can attend Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell and earn a degree without leaving home. Technical training and certificate programs are also available within the county. The most notable is the Aviation Maintenance Technology Program which attracts students from across the country.
Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell
Established in 1958, ENMU-R offers associate of arts degrees, seven associate of science degrees, 21 associate of applied science degrees, two certificate of completion programs, 15 certificate of occupational training programs and 35 certificate of employability programs. The school has about 3,800 students each fall and spring semester in credit-bearing courses.
More than 4,000 students enroll in credit classes each semester. The University also offers access to bachelor's and master’s degree programs on campus through ENMU in Portales.
