The Roswell-Chaves County Economic Development Corporation Selected as the 2026 Recipient of the Blueprint for Growth Award

The Roswell-Chaves County Economic Development Corporation is pleased to announce that its Site Readiness initiative has been selected as the 2026 recipient of the Blueprint for Growth Award by New Mexico IDEA.

The award was presented this morning during the Governor’s Conference on Economic Development at the Isleta Resort & Casino.

This recognition highlights the organization's focus on long-term economic planning and risk mitigation. By systematically utilizing three consecutive years of LEADS funding alongside local resources, the initiative completed necessary environmental, geotechnical, and land-development work well in advance of specific project proposals.

This proactive approach successfully reduced development timelines and minimized risk, establishing stable, competitive sites for future business recruitment. This foundational planning serves as a direct link to structured economic growth, job creation, and private investment for Chaves County.
