Local educators and community leaders are reaching out to voters, urging them to back a mill levy increase to boost funding for career and technical education programs at Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell (ENMU-R).
ENMU-R president Shawn Powell hosted a two-hour dinner and presentation on Thursday, Aug. 7, in the Instructional Technology Commons on the campus. The event was the first of three being held at the college to build support for the proposed property tax increase, which is contingent on majority support from voters in the November 4 municipal and school board elections. The other two dinners will be on Sept. 4 and Sept. 25. Contact the school for more information.
