U.S. Sen. Ben Ray Luján has a new committee appointment in the Senate, which flipped from a Democratic to a Republican majority.
The New Mexico Democrat has joined the Senate Finance Committee, which oversees taxation and revenue measures, as well as trade agreements and — a hot-topic with the incoming President Donald Trump administration — tariffs. Luján will also continue serving on the Senate’s Agriculture, Commerce and Budget committees, as well as the Committee on Indian Affairs.
